Social Media group met amid arctic weather to discuss Social Media trends in 2014, the ongoing Social Media Guidelines document being developed by the working group and saw some tips and tricks in the HootSuite tool.
We briefly talked about Adam Hartwick’s new television show @midnight and the proper use of memes and copyrighted images
The Social Media Working Group said the getting started document will cover the following issues:
- How To Get Started document to be developed
- Define best practices by channels (infographic that breaks down channels by content type and by demographic)
- Offer best practices support for seven SM channels: Facebook, Twitter, Instagram, YouTube, Google+, LinkedIn and Pinterest.
- Storify and Tagboard as additional resources
- Responding to negative comments
- Add copyright issues to best practices document.
